Biography

Nikita Vasilchenko was born on August 3, 1994, in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, and moved to Germany with his parents at the age of six. He is a German film director, screenwriter, and actor.

After completing his bachelor's degree in film at Macromedia University in Cologne in 2017, he initially worked as an assistant in set management for international productions such as "High Life" with Robert Pattinson, "7500" with Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and "Annette" with Adam Driver. Parallel to his set runner jobs, he wrote novellas and created short films.

His short film "Der Seelensammler" was screened at various festivals worldwide, and his script "Seoul Trinity" won several festival screenplay awards. The screenplay is currently under consideration by Lee Dong Ha, the producer of "Train to Busan."

He is currently writing more novellas and working with Michael Kleinfeld on two screenplays.

Nikita currently lives in Cologne.
